Valentine’s Day is a whimsical holiday for celebrating love, partnership, and, of course, candy. Nothing says love like some quality vegan Valentine’s Day candy, which is why I’ve created this list to guide you.
Some of these are common candies that just so happen to be vegan. I always love finding out that one of my favorite brands was actually vegan the whole time.
There are also a bunch of items on this list that are made specifically with a vegan diet in mind. Either way, I think you’ll find all of these absolutely scrumptious.

Familiar Favorites: Fruity and Sour
We’re starting with the vegan Valentine’s Day candy that you already know and love. These sweet options do not contain dairy, gelatin, or any other animal by-products.
And you were probably already eating them before you went vegan!
Smarties
Smarties were a classic staple of my childhood. They’re the simple, overlooked candy that’s nobody’s first choice, but they always get eaten eventually.
Ring Pops
Ring pops are fun, fashionable, and vegan! Plus, what says romance like a ring on your finger?
Fun Dip
As an adult, I don’t really reach for the Fun Dip anymore. As a kid, though, I loved this stuff. It’s a stick of sugar dipped in different flavored sugar. Bon-apetite!
Sweetarts
These are a great vegan Valentine’s Day candy. They’re literally a play on the word “Sweetheart.”
Life Savers Hard Candy
I specified the hard candy because the gummies tragically have gelatin. At least we have these very yummy candies for Cupid’s day.
Airheads
Is it just me, or do these candies give you jarring flashbacks of those commercials where kids heads would blow up? I guess the marketing worked.
Regardless, this is a delicious option for vegan Valentine’s Day candy.
Brach’s Lemon Drops
Lemon drops are amazing. I could eat these by the dozen. My waistline can suck it up–you only live once, right?
Jolly Ranchers
Okay, be honest: Blue raspberry is the best, right?
Nerds
Nerds are another one that remind me of my childhood. I used to rip open the little box and dump the whole thing into my mouth at once like I was taking a shot.
Pixie Stix
Like Fun Dip, this one is a little too “pure sugar” for my adult taste buds. I sure loved Pixie Stix as a kid, though!
Red Vines
Red vines are my favorite color of vines, other than green. (It’s an inside joke).
Happily, these and Twizzlers are both vegan, and the red color makes them an easy addition to your vegan Valentine’s Day candy list.
Skittles
Everybody loves Skittles, right? I am so happy these made the list. I could munch on Skittles until I got a stomach ache (which is why I linked to a 25-pack). But at least it will be a vegan stomach ache.
Sour Patch Kids
First they’re sour, then they’re sweet. At no point during that transformation do they use gelatin.
Intentionally Vegan Valentine’s Day Candy
You’ll notice that this list has a LOT of chocolate. Chocolate is a staple of vegan Valentine’s Day candy, but it usually has to have some modification to make it vegan as most chocolate has milk products.
Some dark chocolate is naturally dairy free, but these brands have a wide variety of options made with plant-based products. There’s also a spattering of gummy candies that are made without gelatin.
No Whey Chocolate Box
No Whey is an amazing vegan chocolate maker that has tons of cute heart-shaped boxes to choose from.
Lulu’s Chocolate Bars
Lulu’s chocolate is decadent, creamy, and surprisingly healthy. They believe on this day of love, you should treat your heart well, too. That’s why they make their chocolate with coconut sugar to lower it’s GI.
I personally am in love with this smoked sea salt almond flavor, but if you follow the link to Amazon there’s a bunch of different flavors.
Yumearth Candies
Yumearth makes vegan and gluten free candies (though not exclusively.) All of their products are non-GMO and organic as well. These vegan chewy candies are my favorite.
Cocomels
Non-dairy caramels! These use coconut milk instead of cows milk for a delicious, creamy treat. They also have chocolate-covered and other varieties.
Raaka Chocolate Bars
These chocolate bars are an excellent vegan Valentine’s Day candy. They may not be adorned with hearts, but is there anything you’d rather feast on than Bourbon Cask Aged vegan chocolate? I’m drooling.
In addition to having decadent flavors to choose from, these chocolates are also fair trade, gluten free, and kosher.
Moo Free Chocolates
As the name suggests, Moo Free Chocolates does not put cow’s milk in their chocolate. They are also gluten free and soy free.
These white raspberry truffles are unbearably delicious, but they also have other flavors such as hazelnut. They even sell a dairy-free advent calendar for Christmastime.
Unreal Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
Reese’s fans, look no further. These vegan peanut butter cups are, well, Unreal! They’re actually probably my favorite item on this list.
In addition to peanut butter cups, unreal sells almond butter cups, quinoa crisps, chocolate covered coconut bites, and more.
Surf Sweets Organic Fruity Bears
Vegan Gummy Bears! Need I say more?
These are some amazing choices for vegan Valentine’s Day candy. We are so lucky to live in a time when there is such a wide variety of vegan food available and just a click away.
