About
My name is Madison, and I started Vegan Abroad as a way to educate and empower people about travel and veganism.
My name is Madison, and I started Vegan Abroad as a way to educate and empower people about travel and veganism.
With such wide topics, there is a lot to learn. They range from easy recipes to conversations about accessibility within veganism, or from resort reviews to responsibly engaging with other cultures within topics of travel. My goal is to create a community where you can find answers to any question on your mind and a resource on your own journeys.
I have always loved writing. In fact, I used to write for the blog Hidden Valley Culture, and took various other projects until I started this blog. I chose veganism as one of the topics for Vegan Abroad because as I started on that path I felt like there was a lot of information missing from mainstream vegan blogs. (At least from the ones I was finding!)
My love for travel blossomed out of my love for languages. I am a Spanish-English translator by trade, and studying Spanish in college took me to Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Cuba. Each of these trips changed something within me, and I came back eager to share.
At this point in my journey, I have an incredible team working with me to educate and empower through this blog. I am so blessed to have them working with me on Vegan Abroad. Check out their bios below to get to know each of them!
